21.10.22 Weekly News

Hello everyone,

Thank you for all your support this week, particularly for attending parent meetings, joining us in church this morning for our Harvest Services and for the wonderful donations received for Shrewsbury Food Bank.

Please note, we are having major I.T. work done in school over the half term and all Bicton School and Nursery email addresses are inactive until the migration works have been completed. Class Dojo will still be in operation so if you have any urgent messages you need to share with your child’s class teacher, that is the only way of communicating with them.

If you have not yet paid for your child’s ticket for the pantomime, please can you do so the first week back. Thank you.

Remember… Monday 31st October is a PD Day and we return to school and nursery on Tuesday 1st November.

We hope you all have a lovely half term holiday!

Imperial War Museum Visit

Oak Class had a brilliant day visiting the Imperial War Museum at Manchester, as part of their studies on the Second World War.

School kitchen success

Congratulations to the Shire Services catering staff, who provide our school meals onsite, for retaining the highest rating for food hygiene. Environmental Health visited right in the middle of lunch service, to carry out a routine inspection of the school kitchen, and said they wished more kitchens looked as clean as ours! 🙂

Panathlon Bowling Success

I would just like to say a huge well done to the group of children who took part in the Panathlon bowling event this morning. They came second out of 11 schools taking part which is a superb effort! We had a great morning and the children came back with individual medals, as well as a trophy and certificate for our PE board in school. 🙂
