Imperial War Museum Visit

Oak Class had a brilliant day visiting the Imperial War Museum at Manchester, as part of their studies on the Second World War.

Panathlon Bowling Success

I would just like to say a huge well done to the group of children who took part in the Panathlon bowling event this morning. They came second out of 11 schools taking part which is a superb effort! We had a great morning and the children came back with individual medals, as well as a trophy and certificate for our PE board in school. 🙂

Sports Day Thank You

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for this year’s Sports Day and what an amazing day we had! We saw our school values demonstrated in abundance and, without a doubt, this is the best teamwork and sportsmanship I have ever seen at a Bicton Sports Day. We are so proud of all our pupils!

Also, well done to all the adults who took part in the races which were possibly the most competitive I have witnessed at Bicton! 🙂

Thank you to our amazing FOBS ladies who kept us fuelled throughout the day and raised well over £300!

Tower of London and Superbloom visit

As you may have seen on Classs Dojo, we had an amazing day in London visiting the Superbloom and the Tower of London. It was an early start and a very long day but gosh was it worth it! Almost everyone opted to use the slide into the moat and the Superbloom installation did not disappoint. Many children commented on how they would love to grow something similar at home!

Whilst we were sitting on Thames Wharf eating our lunch, we even saw Tower Bridge being raised and I think the children would have quite happily sat there all afternoon just taking in the sights of the London skyline and watching the world go by. Thank you to all the staff for making it such a memorable experience and to the Year 5/6s for being so well behaved during the visit – we are all very proud of you!

Arthog Final Day

Forget showers today … we’ve had torrential rain and wind!
In the 15 times I’ve brought Bicton children to Arthog, this is the worst weather I’ve ever experienced but I can say, with all honesty, that this is the most resilient and well-behaved group of children that I have ever brought away.

Arthog Day 1

We had a brilliant first day, despite the showers. The children loved doing the night line but let’s just say it was a lot slippier than they expected! Most of the photos of Friday night are of my group but we’ll get some photos from the other groups posted as soon as we get time!
