Pizza and Cake Fractions

As part of our work on fractions we made some pizzas and cakes today! We had 40 slices of pizza and 40 cakes and had to decorate them according to the fractions we were given, for example, 1/5 of the pizza slices had to have tomatoes on them, 1/10 of the cakes had to be decorated with buttons etc. We had great fun learning fractions in this way and then we had even more fun eating them all afterwards!

Competition Winners

Laura from the Coop visited school this afternoon, to announce the winners of the Mothers Day and the Easter competitions and to present the prizes. Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone who took part.
