Tag Rugby

Well done to all those children who took part in the Tag Rugby tournament at The Corbet School.

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers,
Tonight children have taken home English homework to be brought back to school by Wednesday 7th October.

Red and Green reading groups will complete the reading comprehension questions about the football report and the remaining groups will complete the questions about the bank robber. I have scanned and attached these.

All children should read and complete only the text level questions in the purple box. I would like them to do this in full sentences on the paper attached.

Please note that in future homework will continue to go out every Wednesday to be returned the following Wednesday.

If there are any queries please do not hesitate to speak to myself or Mrs Foster.

Thank you for your support,
Mrs Chadwick

Homework 30-9-15

Photography Club Fun

We have had our first two sessions of photography, talked about how to use settings and had a go at taking our first Club photos.  On week two we concentrated on a theme for the first time, trying to use the right setting to take interesting close ups, so we thought we’d share some of our images so far …. which one is your favorite!

Our Big Dig!

Today the children in Class 4 built their own archaeological digs, burying evidence from the past in layers of earth. They then had great fun uncovering a layer at a time to discover what another group had buried.

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers,

Tonight children have taken home Maths homework to be brought back to school by Wednesday 30th September.

For the groups finding 2-digit number bonds to 100, I have asked children not to use the method modelled on the sheet but to use a number line and count on to 100. We have covered this method in class this week.

If there are any queries please do not hesitate to speak to myself or Mrs Foster.

Thank you for your support,

Mrs Chadwick

Class 4 Science

Today Class 4 spent the afternoon exploring sound through a range of practical activities.  They were learning about sound travelling as vibrations.  They had lots of fun trying all the different activities, which included a balloon hearing aid and watching sound waves travelling though water.

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers

I have given the children Chapter 3 of ‘Stig of the Dump’ to read for homework. They should all have brought home a copy tonight which I would like them to try and read before the English lesson tomorrow. They can either read it by themselves or have it read to them. We will be focusing on the differences between Stig and Barney and how they work together. What can they do? What are they good at? I am not looking for anything in writing for this weeks homework.

Thank you for your support.
