Homework due in Wednesday 20th January

This week’s homework is on ‘homophones’.  The children have been asked to underline or highlight the correct word in each sentence on their homework sheet.  If they are not sure of any, they can look them up in a dictionary / online dictionary.

Any questions, just ask Mrs Chadwick or Mrs Foster

Many thanks for your continued support

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers,

This term our topic is Extreme Earth. We will be learning about Volcanoes, Earthquakes and Biomes and the physical geography related to these. We have put up a display in the classroom. We would like to add current or recent natural disasters to this from around the world.

We would like children to research an event from the last year and find out what happened and why this may have occurred.

They can present their information on a piece of paper no bigger than A4 to be added to the display.

Thank you for your support.

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers,

Tonight children have taken home English homework. There are a variety of activities on the worksheet where children have to think about selecting the most appropriate adjectives.

If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to myself or Mrs Foster.

Kind regards,

Mrs Chadwick

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers,

Over the half term break we would like children to present a non-chronological report on a topic of their choice.

We have talked a lot about them in English over the past few weeks and the children have all written their own reports about Sound. All children should be aware of the different features that they need to include and ways they can make their report interesting and attractive for the reader.

Children can choose to present their reports on the computer, on paper or as a booklet. If children need any resources to help them with this homework, please ask an adult in Class 4 before we break up on Friday.

If there are any queries please do not hesitate to speak to myself or Mrs Foster.

Thank you for your support,
Mrs Chadwick

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers,
On Wednesday children took home French homework to be brought back to school by Wednesday 14th October.

We have covered most of the words in the activity but they are free to use the Internet or French dictionaries for words the don’t know or can’t remember.

If there are any queries please do not hesitate to speak to myself or Mrs Foster.

Thank you for your support,
Mrs ChadwicK

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers,
Tonight children have taken home English homework to be brought back to school by Wednesday 7th October.

Red and Green reading groups will complete the reading comprehension questions about the football report and the remaining groups will complete the questions about the bank robber. I have scanned and attached these.

All children should read and complete only the text level questions in the purple box. I would like them to do this in full sentences on the paper attached.

Please note that in future homework will continue to go out every Wednesday to be returned the following Wednesday.

If there are any queries please do not hesitate to speak to myself or Mrs Foster.

Thank you for your support,
Mrs Chadwick

Homework 30-9-15

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers,

Tonight children have taken home Maths homework to be brought back to school by Wednesday 30th September.

For the groups finding 2-digit number bonds to 100, I have asked children not to use the method modelled on the sheet but to use a number line and count on to 100. We have covered this method in class this week.

If there are any queries please do not hesitate to speak to myself or Mrs Foster.

Thank you for your support,

Mrs Chadwick

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers

I have given the children Chapter 3 of ‘Stig of the Dump’ to read for homework. They should all have brought home a copy tonight which I would like them to try and read before the English lesson tomorrow. They can either read it by themselves or have it read to them. We will be focusing on the differences between Stig and Barney and how they work together. What can they do? What are they good at? I am not looking for anything in writing for this weeks homework.

Thank you for your support.

Class 4 Half Term Homework

Half Term Homework – Due in Friday 5th June 2015

The first week back after half term is Healthy Eating Week. With this in mind, I would like you to do some homework linked to this.

You can choose to do one of the options from the list below (you only have to do one but you are welcome to do more if you wish)!

Make sure you bring your homework into school by Friday 5th June as we may present our homework to one another.

Cookery

Design a healthy meal and cook it with help from   your grown ups. Remember to stay safe in the kitchen. Make a menu for your   guests and serve their food to them at the table. You can bring the menu you   have made into school. Don’t forget to wash up afterwards!

Music/dance

Write and perform a rap   about healthy eating. You could even think of some dance moves to go with it!

Writing

Write a food diary over   one week. Remember to record everything you eat and drink!

ICT

Make a short presentation about your favourite   healthy foods.

Question

Should junk foods be   banned for all children? You could write your answer in sentences or draw it   in a cartoon.
