Making Gingerbread Men

In English this week we have been reading The Gingerbread Man. The children have learned the story by heart and written a story map, yesterday we made gingerbread men, reading and following instructions. This will lead onto the children writing their own set of instructions and looking at imperative (bossy) verbs. We also had a sensory spice test where the children smelt lots of different spices and decided which they liked and didn’t like.

Adding amounts

Today in Maths we have been adding two amounts together and finding the answer. The children enjoyed playing an interactive game at the end of the lesson and asked for me to share the link. There are lots of different stages to choose from to suit a range of abilities. Have fun!
