Class 4 Homework

Please encourage your child to complete their homework as independently as possible.  This homework will be due back in on Monday 12th June.

Thank you!

Choir – Concord College – 15th June 2017

Thank you for returning your permission slips so promptly, we have now reached our maximum allocated numbers for children and parents.

Parents who have shown interest in attending must arrive before 9.45am, Concord will not allow you to arrive halfway through the performances as it is too distracting for the children on stage.

Welcome back

We are pleased to welcome back Mrs Conde who will be working in Class 4 alongside Miss Carr and Mrs Foster for the remainder of the summer term.

Class 4 D.T

In Class 4 we will be completing our D.T project next week, and the children will be making dome structures that they designed before half term.

We would be very grateful for any donations from Class 4 parents of cardboard tubes e.g. Kitchen roll tubes, empty wrapping paper tubes etc., in order to help the children build their structures.

Thank you!

I hope you are all having a wonderful half term.

Liverpool Trip – thank you

On behalf of staff and governors, thank you for your support today and for the positive response towards our decision to cancel today’s visit.  Mrs Foster and Miss Carr will send out a letter once they have made arrangements for an alternative visit later this term.

Many thanks

Mrs Johnson

Years 3 – 6 Research study

Get Involved in a National Research Study!

Our school is taking part in a national research study about child anxiety funded by the National Institute for Health Research.  We are hoping as many families as possible with children in Years 3 – 6 will get involved.  The research team from the University of Reading are really keen for a broad range of families to take part, including those with children who are confident, those who are anxious and those in between.   We are sending home information about the research study, together with some short questionnaires.  You can also find out more about the research, agree to take part and complete the short questionnaires here:

As a way of saying thank you, the University of Reading will provide our school with £1 for each complete set of returned questionnaires (parent, child, teacher) – so it’d be great to get as many families involved as possible!

Class 4 request!

If you have any unwanted cardboard boxes, larger than cereal box size, we would be very grateful if you would donate them to Class 4 this week!

They will help in transforming the classroom for our brand new novel study starting after Easter.

Thank you!

Miss Carr
