Grow A Pound – Sale of items made/grown

Following on from last Fridays sale a few children have asked if we can have another sale tomorrow, Friday 24th.

The children have been told that this will be going ahead at break time and at the end of the school day. If your child wishes to participate, they can bring a small amount of money to buy the items.

Thank you very much for your support.

Grow A Pound

As part of this project we had planned to have a sale at school tomorrow, 17th April, to help the children sell items that they have made/grown.

The sale will be at break time and at the end of the school day. If your child wishes to participate, they can bring a small amount of money to buy the items.

Thank you very much for your support.

Welcome Back!

It was lovely to see so many smiling faces coming on to the playground this morning and children have enjoyed sharing their news today from the Easter holiday.

Sunny weather

Judging from the array of tanned faces today, it seems as though lots of children enjoyed and made the most of the sunny weather last week!  As the warm weather looks as though it is here to stay for this week at least, it might be a good idea for your child to bring a hat to school to wear at break-times. Drinking water is always available in school but they are welcome to bring a drink to school as well.

Letter home

A letter has been sent home today with every child with information regarding chicken pox and scarlet fever.  If the letter does not reach you, please do not hesitate to ask for a copy from the School Office.

Calendar

Please remember to check the calendar for clubs, etc. as it has been updated over the weekend so will differ to the weekly email sent last Friday.

Many thanks.

Cross Country

Cross Country is ON this Friday 20th March, but is not on 27th March.

Usborne Books

Thank you to everyone who visited Usborne Books in the Hall on Thursday. We decided to spend the £500 we had left from last year out of the £1500 FOBs donation for new books and, together with the commission earned on sales to parents yesterday, we earned over another £500 of books. This means school has been able to purchase over £1000 of new books so we are extremely grateful for your support!

Comic Relief

Remember it is Comic Relief day next Friday and the theme this year is Make your face funny for money! Children can come to school in non-uniform wearing anything they choose and, hopefully, with a funny face and £1 for Comic Relief.

We would also like to do a cake sale at Friday break time so any donations of cakes, biscuits, etc would be much appreciated.

Letters out this week

Year 4 girls netball letter – please could all reply slips be returned by Monday at the latest.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Grand total!

We raised a staggering £410 last Friday from wearing non-uniform and from the sale of cakes.  This has far exceeded our expectations and is a fantastic start to our defibrillator fundraising.  We will be sending a cheque for £205 to the British Heart Foundation this week as half of the money raised.

Thanks again to everyone.
