iRock Spaces Now Available for September

Dear Parents/Guardians/Carers,

We are pleased to share that spaces in iRock bands are available now to book for September!

At iRock, children experience the excitement of being in a real band, learning instruments, playing songs they love and building confidence through music. Led by passionate and professional Band Coaches, the fun and inclusive in-school sessions help children develop teamwork, resilience and musical skills in a supportive environment.

Every term ends with a live concert performance for family and friends, giving children the chance to shine like real rockstars and celebrate everything they’ve achieved.

Summer HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) Programme

Children who are in receipt of free school meals can book free sessions onto this programme. Your unique code to do this will be given to your child.

As well as free places at clubs for HAF eligible children and young people, many of the HAF programmes also include paid places for children and young people who are not eligible for HAF. These are generally heavily subsidised and have been highlighted in the What’s On Guide.

To check eligibility and to book, visit the HAF website . Eligible families will need a unique HAF code from their school or referral professional. All places must be booked in advance and eligibility checks will apply.

Forest School on Sunday

Dear Friends,

It’s Forest Church this coming Sunday, and we are delighted to be meeting on the Isle Estate (SY3 8EE), by kind permission of Edward Tate. We will have some time in this beautiful setting- exploring nature and the site of an old church. We’ll have our worship service and cake a little earlier, because after that we are having a tour of Edward’s mushroom farm- very exciting!

We do hope you can come- 3pm- 4.30pm, this Sunday (28th June). We will be enjoying the biodiversity of a summer meadow, so please do wear long trousers and wellies or trainers, whatever the weather.

Directions

Turn into Isle Lane- on the main road, by the old Four Crosses Pub. After ¼ mile down go through pillars with lions on top. You are now on the Isle Estate. BEWARE there is a speed bump here. There are a further three large speed bumps, go slowly. After the fourth speed bump the road splits, go straight on, slightly uphill, signed Home Farm. At the top of the hill is a fifth bump, then you should see the stable yard ahead, and someone welcoming you to the car park!

IMPORTANT – SPORTS DAY CANCELLED

After careful consideration and following advice from the DfE and Local Authority, Sports Day will be postponed for all year groups until Wednesday 1st July. Although I recognise this may be disruptive to planned annual leave from work, the children’s safety is paramount and vigorous exercise in the conditions we are expecting on Wednesday could be unsafe.
The arrangements for the 1st July will remain the same as planned for this week and I hope that by giving you as much notice as possible, you will still be able to attend.
Please share this message amongst other parents and carers. Thank you for your understanding.
