Children’s Gift Shop – December

We would be very grateful for donations for our children’s gift shop, which we are running again this December. ( eg – toiletries, games, chocolates, etc).

Children will be able to purchase small gifts, starting from £2.00 which will be labelled and gift wrapped for them to give to family members.  All donations can be left in the school office.  Timings and dates will follow nearer the time.  Thank you for your support.

Years 3 and 4 Swimming – Starts Friday 26th April.

Just a reminder that Swimming for Year 3 and 4 starts next week on Friday 26th April –  we need to leave promptly at 8.55am.
Please can you complete the permission form and payment on sQuid at the same time.
As mentioned, due to budget constraints, we need to request a contribution of £6.00 per session – £30 in total.  We can only afford to take children swimming through your voluntary contributions and we are heavily subsidising the costs.   Swimming is part of the National Curriculum and we do encourage all children to take part.
All payments/permission forms need to be made by Thursday 25th at the latest.

School photos – New Date – 7th July 2021

We have re-scheduled a new date with the school photographer –  Wednesday 7th July (AM).

Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions we will not be able to allow younger/older siblings, who do not attend either Bicton School or Nursery.    There is no need to bring your child earlier than normal if they already attend school or nursery, as staff will take them to the Hall to have their photos taken.        All children will have their photographs taken, individually and in their class groups, unless you tell us otherwise.

Sweets sale

As FOBS are unable to run their Friday sweet sales at the moment, to raise much-needed funds for school, they have come up with an alternative. On Friday 4th, children can buy a pre-prepared mixed bag of sweets for 50p. (Vegetarian sweets can also be pre-ordered in advance, by emailing school no later than 12:30 pm on Thursday.) The bags of sweets will be sold in each classroom at the end of the afternoon for children to take home.

Children need to bring the correct money in an envelope or clear bag and the monies collected will be passed to the FOBs treasurer the following week. FOBS have also got a PayPal account, which they set up earlier this year to raise funds for our school library. Parents can pay for sweets directly through this account here, to save children having to bring money into school.
