Gardening Party Saturday 1st April

We are busy planning and preparing the  sensory-wildlife garden, if you would like to take part in the event on 1st April please could you sign the contact list in reception or speak to one of the FOBS committee.  We would like to know who is coming so we can prepare the tasks and organise refreshments.

More information to follow next week.

Prepare your gardening gloves and boots and come along to contribute to a unique school garden.

Forest School

We are pleased to let you know that when you shop at Tesco this month you will be given a blue token (if the cashier forgets, ask them for their charity tokens).  You can use this to vote for Forest School Sessions at our school.  The scheme is called Forest Meets Garden. The more votes we get the more likely we are to be able to offer more Forest School Sessions.

Thank you for your support

Sensory and Wildlife Garden

Hello,  during half-term the Landscape Designers have been busy building the oval-egg raised beds with seating.  On the outer part of the walls we thought it would be good to create some niches in the natural render, which will be added very soon.  Places for insects and very importantly places for the children to add something they have collected, stones, fossils, shells.  If you would like your child to help create a Geological Timeline please donate some samples, with date of origin, where found and importantly the child’s name and age.

Thank you Catherine and all of FOBS

Bag2School – 15th November

Please start collecting any unwanted clothes or textiles (clean but in any condition). You will be provided with a Bag2School plastic bag (bin liners are fine too) and they will be collected from school on the morning of Tuesday 15th November.

This is an excellent way we can raise funds for school whilst educating the children on the importance of recycling.

They accept the following items;
Men’s, ladies and children’s clothing
Paired shoes (tied together or elastic band around)
Handbags, ties, belts, hats and soft toys
Jewellery

They will not accept;
Duvets, bedding, household linen
Pillows and cushions
Carpets, rugs and mats (inc. bath, shower and toilet mats)
Curtains
Towels
School uniform
Corporate clothing and work wear
Shredded or mutilated textile material
Textile off cuts, yarns or threaded material
